A little bit of background on me: As far back as I can remember, I have always been creative. I've always loved the world of art, theatre, fashion and cinema although it wasn't until my early 20s that I discovered my true calling. It started for me about 15 years ago, back in Ontario, working in retail with many cutting edge brands including Smashbox, Make Up Forever, Benefit, Clarins and Lancome. That experience gave me the necessary knowledge on skincare and makeup for every type of face and skin type. It's during that time that I discovered makeup's transformative power. Whether it's to enhance a woman's face for a daily look and show her how to play up her best features or allow a model become a different character on set - makeup was a game changer and became my passion, my creative outlet. I quickly realized I wanted to step outside the safety of traditional makeup - I needed to paint and a face became my canvas. In the years following, I pursued opportunities in Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal - including fashion, music videos, runway, and commercial work. Today I live and work in Vancouver, and I am blessed to have been published both domestically and internationally. To have started working in Vancouver's film industry has been fascinating and I can't wait to expand my portfolio with more opportunities in that field. It has been my privilege to be trusted with the faces of so many brides on their wedding day, and to see them their happiest on their big day, is always monumental for me. I am always excited to meet new clients and create something extraordinary! I am always curious. I never stop learning. I am always creating. |
